n the night around 6.30pm there is a sound and light show conducted by tourism department in the garden of western group of temples.In the garden there are chairs for the audience .The voice of Hindi film star Amitabh Bacchan is attraction for domestic tourist and suitable for this medium.The show is entertaining and informative about the construction, history and importance of the temples. History & Myth Most historical sights in India have documentated facts of history and myth as well. In this show as well tourists guide and information books tells a story of beautiful bramin maiden Hemvati who was blessed a son by the union of god moon.Hemavati came to khajuraho and brought up her son here.In course time Hemavati'son become the king and founded the Chandela dynasty and built these beautiful temples.In the absance of recorded history such myths are being glorify and presented before two lac tourists every year.The picture is not taken by me but is of entry ticket we bought for the show.
