Karen Morgan creates beautiful and skillfully hand thrown porcelain ware from her studio in Thomastown County Kilkenny. Her designs are unique and each piece is individually handmade with great passion and creativity. Her work brigdes the gap between function and sculpture. Karens innovative ideas and unique style have won her a number of awards such as House and Home Student Designer of the year 2006 and the RDS National Crafts Award 2007. Karen has been creating and building her range since 2007 and enjoys the challenges of working with the medium of porcelain and likes to push the boundries of the clay as well as her abilities as a designer by combining ergonomical function with sculpture.Karen’s bright and welcoming studio and showroom are open for everyone to visit and see the work being handmade. Her extensive range of beautiful porcelain can be seen as well as other local artists work. Her range of porcelain ware includes tableware, giftware and sculpture.
