Kethapayya Narayan Temple

Kethapayya Narayan Temple is famous for its Vijayanagara style of architecture and beautifully carved sculptures. Tourists can come across the four pillared Navaranga, a kind of a hall along with statues of Ashta Dikpalakas that stand as guards in the eight directions. Moreover, tourists can also witness the walls that are carved with different figures and various scenes from the Ramayana like Putra Kamesti, Rama Pattabhisheka and Vanavasa. At the entrance of the temple, stands a huge dhwajastambha which is a flag pillar. Kethapayya Narayan Temple is situated at Mudbhatkal in Bhatkal and is few kilometres from Murudeshwara.
