Kilkieran Cottage has a reputation for its good food - serving contemporary Irish cuisine using seasonal & locally sourced ingredients - cooked by highly regarded Chef, Neil Mc Evoy. He has a flare in foraging & cooking wild foods, and his signature dish of 'Mileeven Honey Glazed Pork Belly, Truffled Savoy Cabbage, Rosehip Gel & Braising Juices' has been enjoyed by many. Our dishes suit most Irish-European taste, ranging from succulent Steak, Duck Confit, Monkfish on the bone, to tasty vegetarian options. Also cater for dietary requirements. We use our own fruit & vegatables that are grown in the garden, and keep some hens for their eggs.The customers cannot only devour our delicious food but can also relax in a cozy ambience of newly refurbished restaurant while looking out onto beautiful surroundings, the spectacular view of Suir River Valley, Comeragh mountain to the Slivenamon mountain. When the weather permits, our customer can sit outside to enjoy this scenic view, and breath in the fresh air of rural Ireland. We have an ample private car-park, and the restaurant has ramp access for wheel-chair users.We have a friendly, well informed team of local staff conducted by the owner, Ade Walsh. We open for dinner Wednesday to Sunday at 5 pm- 9.30 pm (last order) with Ala-Carte menu all evening. There’s also good value Early-Bird Menu from 5 pm to 7 pm each evening - €21 for 2 course & €26 for 3 course – it’s definately something to go for when don’t feel like cooking at home. Our Sunday Lunch Menu is also excellent value - only €20 for 2-course & €25 for 3-course, including tea/coffee - it will to set you up for a relaxing Sunday evening. Sunday Lunch start at 12 noon to 3 pm.We have an accomplished selection of wines to compliment your dinner. Our house wine is €5.50/glass or €20/bottle, sourced from Languedoc area of France, La Vicomte Merlot & La Vicomte Sauvignon Blanc.Kilkieran Cottage is a perfect place for special occasions. We can accomodate up to 50 - 60 people per occasion. We offer a healthy children’s set menu with exceptional value of €8.50. The place is reknowned for Family Gatherings; Christening, Confirmation, First Communion, also small Wedding.Early booking is recommended. Our customers are mainly the local community within a distance of 30 km radius. We are located about 8 km from Carrick-on-Suir or Piltown, 19 km from Callan, and 10 km from Kilmoganny. It's only about 25 minutes drive from 3 major towns/city like Kilkenny, Clonmel & Waterford. We are next to the historical Kilkieran High Crosses, where Holy Well springs holy water that cure the headache.
