Kontigudi Temples, also known as Konti Group of Temples, is located in the centre of the market place. Oldest among the four temples, this temple dates back to the 5th century, while the succeeding temples were built in later years. One of the temples built in 10th century is presently in ruins. The first temple has a Trimurthy idol on the ceiling of Mantapa . In addition, the ceilings of these temples are adorned with images of Brahma, Shiva and a reclined Vishnu.
