Being around 140 years old, Krøgers Have is actually the youngest of the collection of traditional family garden restaurants located on the leafy boulevard that runs north from Frederiksberg Have. The outdoor restaurant is open from April thru September only and offers a combination of classic Danish lunches and dinners with live musical entertainment. The place is open to large family and business parties only (minimum 10 persons, max 500), with reservations made by email or telephone. It's a lively but very Danish place, with all-you-can-eat barbecue buffets every Thursday from June onwards and draught beer generally the beverage of choice. Twice-yearly Spanish-Danish 'pig festivals' are held in June and August with an entire spit-roasted pig, pitchers of homemade Sangria and traditional local music (known as 'Dansk top'): Not really a place for the vegetarians, but about as Danish as it gets.
