Kronendal has a classy, restrained environment, rich in legends of ghosts and phantom diners. Set in several rooms of an old Cape farmstead, Kronendal is clad in long drapes, heavy chandeliers and giant gilt-framed mirrors. The log fires and separate cigar bar make this venue delightfully cosy. Experience a reliable, Continental menu. Especially good is the bell pepper with rice pilaf and the Three Brothers Plate, which includes beef, ostrich and pork fillets all with their own sauces. There is a reasonably-priced, extensive wine list.
