Funky and fun, this little Italian restaurant is a smoky, friendly place to grab a quick bite or while away time with a disparate crowd of upscale locals and expats. Upstairs in an old building, the atmosphere is very casual, with simple furniture and not much space. Expect to be rubbing elbows with your neighbors, and probably talking to them as well. The pizza is great, and if you're lucky, Alex, the polyglot owner, will be holding forth behind the bar in the corner. An expert on all things Alexandrian, he is well worth listening to.
