Laad Bazaar or Choodi Bazaar is a very old market popular for bangles located in Hyderabad, close to landmarks such as Charminar, Makkah Masjid and Chowmahalla Palace. The market is about 1 km long and is specifically popular for bangles, Bridal wear, saris, pearls, Nirmal, Kalamkari paintings, handwoven materials of silk, brocade, velvet and gold embroidered fabrics, cotton, traditional Khara Dupattas, and perfumes, semi-precious stones, the traditional Hyderabadi glass and stone studded bangles are also sold here. Bangles on which artificial diamonds are studded ( lacquer bangles ) are a specialty of this market. It is a very old market, functioning since the times of the Qutb Shah and the Nizams.
