Le Dali

Le Meurice 228 rue de Rivoli Cuisines: French

About

Le Dali is where three-star Michelin chef Yannick Alléno serves up a menu headed "100% Cheeky", a lighter, more modern, seasonal take on classical cuisine. Black pudding, Angus beef or veal ravioli with juice and sage butter and slow-simmered spinach might be on the menu, while dishes of the day range from eel stewed in wine with onion and herbs to roast scallops in a hazelnut crust. Starters include French standards such as curled endive with lardons and poached egg and sautéed wild mushrooms grand mère style. Most of the dishes are extremely affordable for this class of cooking – unless you order the Royal Oscetra caviar and condiments for 580€. Or come here for a champagne afternoon tea à la Française– another bargain at 45€. The giant homage to Dalí which floats above the diners was painted by Ara Starck who with her father Philippe remodelled the hotel, and added many other witty touches in the décor alluding to the work of the surrealist artist who frequently stayed here.
