Combine a sightseeing tour of Lisbon, with an afternoon exploring the Estoril Coast and Sintra. If you are short on time or this is your first visit to Lisbon, this is a great tour to give you an overview of the area. Your sightseeing tour of Lisbon takes you on a drive down Liberty Avenue to Rossio, in the very heart of the city. You'll then visit Alfama is the oldest and most picturesque quarter, and you will stop here for a wine tasting in a handicraft store. the tour continues along the riverside to admire Black Horse Square, before crossing the bridge over the Tagus. You will then have stops at Belem Tower and the Monument to the Discoveries, perhaps Lisbon's most famous sight. Next there's a visit to Jeronimos Monastery (a UNESCO World Heritage site) and to the Coach Museum,with the world's largest collection of opulent coaches built for the aristocracy, dating back to the 17th century. Both sites are closed on Mondays, when they will be replaced by Ajuda Palace or "Fundacao Medeiros e Almeida". Enjoy some free time for lunch (not included in tour cost) before taking an unforgettable afternoon excursion to discover Portugal's "Sunny Coast" and its beaches. You'll tour cosmopolitan Estoril, the colorful Bay of Cascais and the picturesque cliff of Boca do Inferno, Guincho. Continue on to Cabo da Roca - the westernmost point of Europe (stop here from April 1 to October 31 only). You will then drive across the luxuriant Sintra Mountain and its lush gardens to visit the charming Palacio Nacional Pena (closed on Wednesdays, when the tour visits Queluz Palace instead).
