The Kinabatangan Forest Reserve is the largest remaining floodplain in Sabah.It is also one of the most significant and productive wetland in Sabah, flows for 560 kilometers through eastern Sabah to the Sulu Sea.The Kinabatangan region is one of only two known places on earth where 10 primates can be found. These include the wild orand utan,and several species that are endemic to Borneo, such as the long pendulous nose proboscis monkey and Borbeon gibbon.
