Well hidden in Ao Nang's main street you will find the small restaurant Luck Yim.  Here you get delicious Thai dishes.  Extra nice is that guests are seated in separate small bamboo hut in proper Thai style.  Good food and very good value. One of the more authentic Thai places in town.
