Madian Mosque is located in the west of Madian Street in Haidian District. According to stone tablets carved in the Qing Dynasty in the mosque, Madian was rebuilt during Qing Dynasty Emperor Kangxi's time (1662-1722). On both the left and right sides of the mosque, there was side doors, which have become second gates now, with the front door built later. The prayer hall is inside the second door built on a high platform foundation. The prayer hall can be arrived after 9 steps of stair which can hold about 500-people religious service.
