Built by the Czech entrepreneur Frederico Figner, who, since 1891 contributed to Brazil's sound and image history, and a then-time (1912) typical middle class dwelling, it nowadays contains the Arte SESC cultural center on the first floor, and a chique bistro restaurant below.
