Maruyama is not terribly famous, but it has a loyal clientele. The cooks know their art well, and the sushi tastes better than other Japanese places in a similar price range. The service is excellent, and once you become a regular customer, you get an extra piece of sushi! The other dishes served are also delicious, and at lunchtime the place is always crowded.
