On a warm summers day people flock to Matilda Bay Reserve to go swimming in the Swan River and picnic by the water. Located south of Perth and not far from the University of Western Australia, Matilda Bay is a perfect spot to relax in a tranquil setting under shady trees. The reserve encompasses Pelican Point which is an important breeding sanctuary for migratory birds. Matilda Bay Reserve is situated between Hackett Drive and the Swan River in Crawley. Its about a five minute drive from the city.
