Maxime

Khalid Ibn el Walid Street Cuisines: French

About

Maxime, tucked away on the upper floors of a building at the quiet end of town, has become a favorite tourist haunt and is almost always humming with activity. Spic-and-span white tablecloths, tightly packed tables, and the view of the street below give the place a pleasantly European feel, and the menu is a mix that reflects a mix of influences. Start with a creamy chicken or lentil soup, and then move on to the lamb cutlets with mint sauce or a filet with pepper sauce. Round it all off with an um aly or a fruit salad. Service is pleasantly businesslike and friendly.
