Portuguese Restaurant, Mozambik restaurant in Gateway shopping mall is an extension of the flagship Ballito eatery's approach to simple laid back eating with a strong Mozambiquan undercurrent. Their concept is based on the authentic Mozambique "Barraca" which, in English, means "hut". In Mozambique, whether at home or on the street, eating, drinking and chilling is the aspect of life we are familiar with from tourist brochures about Mozambique, and the way of life that is symbolised by a "Barraca".
Mozambik restaurant, through its décor has thus aimed to recreate this chilled beach vibe by modelling the interior on the inside of a barraca. When it comes to the menu, they bring together exciting food and drink in a unique fusion of Afro-Porto flavours. To ensure our food is always up to scratch, only the finest fresh ingredients are used in their dishes and each sauce is freshly made to order.
