Piet Mondrian, one of the earliest members of the Dutch ‘De Stijl’ movement, returns home to Amsterdam. This exhibition at the Amsterdam Museum showcases some of his lesser-known paintings, prints and drawings. ‘Mondrian in Amsterdam 1892-1912’ runs from 11 October 2013 to 5 January 2014.Rare Mondrian on displayWith more than 60 works by Mondrian, the exhibition focuses on the Dutch artist’s time in Amsterdam between 1892 and 1912, with landscapes and lighthouses showing the inspiration he drew from his surroundings.
