About

This Museum, set in a rampart of the ancient boundary wall built by the Malatesta family in the 15th Century and a former jail, hosts many findings of particular interest, starting from the two Tamburellos made out of animal skin dating from 700-800 CE, still maintained in good conditions. The exposition shows an armlet dating back to the 16th Century and various ball and game equipments. The Museum path runs beside different topics such as Sferisteri that were built around 1800 and gave to the game a more formal feature, or the walls, especially considered for their aesthetic and technical value during the game. Documents, Advertising posters, period pictures are jealously saved as an authentic testimony of the rules that were applied through the years.
