Museum Festung Dresden - Kasematten

About
Anyone wanting to explore Dresden's 'underworld' should head to Kasematten, a series of ancient tunnels, walkways and cobblestone streets which wind their way under the Brühlschen Terrasse. Only recently uncovered, the 16th century underground fortress contains store houses, barracks, canons and one of Dresden's original city gates. J.F. Böttger, the inventor of European porcelain, was imprisoned here in the early 18th century.
