Muthodi Wildlife Sanctuary

Muthodi Wildlife Sanctuaryis the other name for Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary.This Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Western Ghats, spread in a sprawling 492 kms is the Bhadra Wildlife Sanctuary. It is located 275 kms from Bangalore and is the 25th in the Project Tiger. The sanctuary contains Kallahathigiri which is supposed to be the highest point of the hill. The hills of Kemmanagundi and Baba Budan are inside this sanctuary. There are more than 120 species of trees found here. The flora, fauna and wildlife of this place is diverse and abundant. More than 250 species of birds are found here which a delight is for the bird lovers. Reptiles also are a part of this place and one might come across snakes, lizards and crocodiles while in a safari drive here. The main wildlife attraction here is tigers and elephants. Adventurers can live in the River Tern Lodge which also arranges for the safaris inside the forest.
