Muttukadu Lake is a popular lake located on the East Coast Road at Muttukadu. Muttukadu Lake offers water sport facilities like rowing, wind surfing, water skiing, high speed aqua scooters, pedal boat, row boat and speed boat rides for the tourists. The cost of a ride ranges from Rs. 520/- for a high speed aqua scooter ride to Rs 120/- for a pedal boat ride. Owned and managed by the Tourism Development Corporation, a bamboo boathouse and a floating boat jetty are also present at the Muttukadu boating facility. The boat house also has a multi-cuisine restaurant. The weather in Chennai can be quite hot and humid during the summer months, so the best time to have a boat ride on the lake is during the cooler months of October through February when the weather is pleasant. A must see destination for the whole family
