Myrtle Beach Pelicans, are an Advanced-A Affiliate of the Texas Rangers. The Pelicans' stadium, BB&T Coastal Field, is located at the intersection of 21st Avenue North & Robert Grissom Parkway, directly across from Broadway at the Beach. There have been a few Major League Baseball players who have worn the Pelicans' uniform since the team began play in 1999, such as Rafael Furcal, Marcus Giles, Ryan Langerhans, Horacio Ramirez, Pete Orr, Adam LaRoche, Jeff Francoeur, and Brain McCann.
