Located on the Golden Mile, on the corner of Snell Parade and Old Fort Road. This museum is housed in a large building and includes plenty of 'hands-on' exhibits, many dating back to World War 2. Star exhibits include a Sherman Tank, Mirage Jet and military helicopter, which you can climb on, look inside, and really get a feel for these amazing machines. There are also plenty of smaller items with accurate information relating to each. As you would imagine, the historical background to conflicts and activities the military have been involved in is excellent and very educational.
