National Library of New Zealand Te Puna Mātauranga, History Museum The Library manages the Crown's documentary heritage collections, and identifies and preserves the national documentary record. Library staff provide advice and services to the library community and facilitate access and resource sharing within that library community. Staff also provide policy advice to Government on information literacy in New Zealand, and the management of, and access to, structured information collections. The protection of unique Māori materials in the care of the National Library has particular priority in the Library's work to support national identity.
