About

The National Taiwan Science Education Center has been introducing the sciences to the youth of Taipei since 1956. The interactive museum is a great place for traveling families to get out of the heat for some family friendly fun. For young children, the basement houses the Kid's Learning and Discovery Playground. Your little ones can draw all over a large graffiti wall, play computer games, and build castles from huge Lego-style blocks. Other exhibition areas cover human anatomy, Taiwan's biodiversity, math, and earth sciences. The first two floors house rotating special exhibitions, and through August 2011, you can catch the Science of Deception exhibition. Kids will love the daily magic shows, and adults can learn more about deception as presented by Sun Tzu in his book, The Art of War. Open 9am to 4pm Tuesday-Friday; 9am to 5pm Saturday-Sunday; Closed Monday Featured Image: 棟樑‧Harry‧黃基峰‧Taiwan/Flickr
