NEO Park is one of two zoos in Okinawa and features more than 500 species of ferns and 3,600 species of plants and cacti covering it covers 251,490 square meters of land. When visitors first enter the park they will be greeted by the foraging birds in Flamingo lake and see many of these same birds flying free throughout the park. The park features fresh water ponds, tropical flowers and exotic animals. All the animals and fauna are found in replicas of their natural habitats from tropical or subtropical regions all over the world such as the Amazon jungle, African savannah, Southeast Asia and Oceania.
