National Historical Park Tiscapa Lomas, located on the northern slope of Lake Tiscapa in Managua for canopy over the lagoon. The Historic Park entrance, from where is the plane ride, is adjacent to the East Entrance Plaza Shopping Center Inter. If you are on foot or by bike Admission is free but if you go by car parking cost is C $ 20.00. The Historical Park is just the place where you can see the silhouette of Augusto Cesar Sandino, the national hero, and the immense flag of Nicaragua. Also in the Historic Park are two beautiful gardens for children, a museum about the life of Sandino, a cafeteria and the first platform from where the flight started canopy. Another attraction of this place is the perspective view and broad that it has several outstanding places of the capital. For example, from there you can see, on the north side, the impressive Lake Managua, the architectural ensemble of the Ruben Dario National Theater, Palace of Culture, the old Cathedral of Managua, some government buildings, the bandshell and the Square Fe, and to the south, the new Cathedral of Managua, Metrocentro and some financial institutions are the new architectural face of this city. As the population grew Managua, the elevation was designed for different uses, especially the military. On November 25, 1888 service was inaugurated on piped water to homes, by pumping from Lake Managua to stacks that were on the slope. Loma de Tiscapa The forest was disappearing and where was the Champ de Mars and the Military Academy of the National Guard, was a beautiful property Gen. Jose Santos Zelaya López, who was Mayor of Managua and president of Republic, builder there was first a military fortress in La Loma. Further down the trail was public, as the remains of bones and offal insects attracted many people called him "El Hormiguero" and the infamous prison was known that destroyed the earthquake of 1972 and where he was detained Gen. Augusto C. Sandino before being assassinated on February 21, 1934.
