North Cheyenne Cañon Park is located at the western outskirts of Colorado Springs and is well known for its evergreen expanse of forests, amazing rock formations, waterfalls and wildflowers. The park occupies a total land mass of 1,626 acres which includes the Stratton Open Space. It is a great habitat for wildlife that includes Mountain Lion and Mule Deer. Among the most visited attractions inside the park are the Helen Hunt Falls - a favored camping site and the Starsmore Discovery Center. The center hosts numerous exhibits related to nature and also conducts educational and adventure programs.
