It is the yorubas (a tribe in Nigeria) belief that ogun one of the wife of sango turned to be a river rather than dying. this river thereby links Ogun State and Osun State together. The river is being worship yearly by traditional worshipers, they are carry out some traditional activities like sanctification etc. the river is popularly visited due to it historical background and has been used for several research purposes.
