Oscar's Beef, Booze, and Broads

About

Diners are attracted to the Union Plaza's new steakhouse, Oscar's Beef, Booze, and Broads, as much for the story behind the restaurant as for the steaks. Oscar's is named after Oscar Goodman, former mayor of Las Vegas (his wife succeeded him as mayor). The flamboyant mayor was known for having a retinue of showgirls (which he still does). Oscar's serves up a traditional Vegas steakhouse menu, so look for filet, New York Strips, and prime rib. As with any Vegas steakhouse, you'll find plenty of non-steak entrees as well, like chicken, fish, shrimp, and lobster. The "broads" in the restaurant's name are attractive ladies who roam the restaurant and will sit down and chat with you about Las Vegas. Presumably, that includes the days before Oscar Goodman was mayor, when he was Tony Spilotro's lawyer.
