About

For a special night out, Turks head to their favorite et or balik (meat or fish) restaurant, ready to splurge for dishes they themselves rarely cook at home. Finally, someone realized how delicious these "poor man" home-style recipes are, compiling a menu that includes hingal (potato dumplings served with yogurt), otantik yuvarlama çorba (spicy lentil-based vegetable soup), and keskek (a familiar-tasting dish of cream of wheat with pieces of chicken), along with various types of gözleme (filled pancake), pilav, and kebaps at extremely fair prices. The restaurant has four floors, each with its own traditional style, and the room in the fourth-floor annex sits right over the inner atrium of the Beaux Arts Çiçek Pasaji.
