Parkhurst Ghost Town Loop

About

This trail is located in Whistler. The trail 9 km (5.4 miles) loop climbs through Douglas fir, western hemlock, and western white pine. The ride brings you along across a railroad bridge, up a moderate climb following the power lines, and then down to the ghost town of Parkhurst. The buildings are the remains of an old logging camp abandoned in the 1930s. Some of the buildings have been adopted periodically by drifters looking for inexpensive accommodation. The place has been abandoned for decades, and it still has an eerie feel about it. © Copyright Ward Cameron Published by Ward Cameron Enterprises. All Rights Reserved.
