Peking

Innenstadt Cuisines: Asian, Chinese

About

The menu, written exclusively in Chinese, answers the question 'where do the Chinese go out to dine in Cologne' Many of the regulars as well as Chinese tour groups enjoy their meals at the big round tables at Peking by the Dom. Chinese customs are also addressed for example the complementary refill of water in teapots when one gives the signal: tilting the lid slightly! But do not fear, those who are not proficient in Chinese may order from the German or English menu. Along with the doubtlessly good cuisine, the central location of the restaurant, next to the Kölner Dom, means the probably highest priced food bracket in Cologne. Main courses are between EUR 8.75-26.25 and the Peking duck, which one can actually order without too much notice, costs EUR 89 for 4 persons. If you don't want to spend so much money you should try the lunchtime menus ( EUR 5.50-9).
