Most of the squares in Barcelona city have historical significance attached or have witnessed major events. Compared to these squares, Plaça John Lennon is a very modern and recently built square. Inaugurated in 1993, it has been dedicated to famed artist John Lennon. He was a prominent member of 'The Beatles' band and also a peace activist. Mostly the young and the hip crowd hang around here to take a break from the otherwise dull routine.
