El Portal, Theater opened in 1928 and was Las Vegas' foremost movie theater and many times the only one in Downtown Las Vegas. The structure on the exterior is made in the typical Spanish hacienda style and the interior supported by high lofty beams. It was gutted in the 1940s and today holds an Indian Arts & Crafts shop. A gift shop with traditional local artifacts.
