This small and outwardly demure teahouse thrives on an indoor waterway, Taiwan specialty tea and friendly service. Snacks and bulk tea are also served. An indoor bridge connects the larger seating area to a smaller one anchored by private rooms. Under the bridge, rocks support bonsai and miniature fishermen. Tea from Taiwan dominates the menu. Oolong, green and jasmine are the favorites. A waitress demonstrates proper drinking procedures and serves the first few cups, then leaves customers on their own for the next one to 14 hours. Be sure to try a plate of green tea cakes.
