About

The gardens, which are a part of the larger Domain parklands, were originally created as a memorial following the passing of Queen Victoria in 1901. An enduring monument of Queen Victoria in her ceremonial gowns was created in marble and still overlooks one of two beautiful ponds. From her artificially created mound the Queens monument is in itself very impressive and shows the powerful aura of Queen Victoria as well as being very well maintained.
