The Railway Hotel Goorambat is situated in the village of Goorambat 19 kilometres north of Benalla. The Railway Hotel Goorambat boasts over 100 years of service and Goorambat is famous for the overnight stop made by the Queen during her 1954 Royal tour. The Queen spent the night on the Royal Train at the Goorambat siding. The Glenrowan Wine Region, Winton Wetlands, Benalla Racing Club, The Gliding Club of Victoria and the Winton Motor Raceway are all close by.
