Ramanagara, which was portrayed as the famous Ramgarh in Sholay, is about 50 km from Bangalore. Huge rocks and boulders dot the topography of Ramanagara. These hills which once served as the hideout of Gabbar offer a fantastic terrain for trekking and other adventure activities such as high rope traversing, rappelling, jumaring, rock climbing etc.The granite hills of Ramanagara offer a pretty much gentle terrain for trekking. However, the slopes get quite steep at places making the uphill climb difficult for new trekkers. The slant is about 50 degrees which requires tricky footwork and good climbing skills.
