The Rampuria Havelies is constructed by Balujee Chalva under orders of the rich merchant Rampuria family. The construction of the havelies is said to be intiated from 15th century onwards. Intricately carved Jharokhas of Dulmera red sandstone form the exteriors of the havelies. Stone, brick and timber etc. are used in the construction of these havelies. Natural elements are carved magically on the red sandstone. Flowers, birds and animals carved in red sandstone look more lively and beautiful than in real.
