The Red Bank was founded by Terry and Margaret McCoy in 1983 and has been a success from the start. The restaurant has won many awards and citations for good food, including the Egon Ronay Seafood Restaurant of the Year. Terry is a member of Eurotoques, the European body of chefs dedicated to the highest standards of excellence in food and professional cooking. He has represented Ireland extensively at international food competitions. A tremendous enthusiast, Terry is a avid supporter of local produce and suppliers and is always keen to try out new ideas and make the most of them. Fresh seafood from Skerries is the mainstay of his menu.
