This discovery serves some of the best Northern Italian fare in Salzburg to the sounds of quiet jazz and gurgling water from a waterfall. Nestled into the rocks of the Kapuzinerberg, in a rather romantic setting, it's an ideal dining choice for very friendly couples. The Kapuzinerberg is the forested area on the right bank of the Salzach River, rising over the cityscape of Salzburg. Excellent local produce and some fine imported ingredients from Italy go into the creation of this fresh-tasting and well-prepared cuisine. The cookery is basically simple, nothing to interfere with the natural flavor of the food. We prefer the fresh fish dishes, preferably grilled to our request, with some lemon and fresh herbs adding flavor. The succulent pasta dishes come with a number of flavorful and tangy sauces. The atmosphere, although casual, doesn't mean you can show up in shorts.
