In the wonderfully restored Santa Rita hacienda near the zoo is the most atmospheric place in Cali to enjoy a romantic evening and indulge in pure Vallecaucana food. Vast beams and wooden columns greet the visitor as if perfectly framing the lawns and cloister style environment in this antique Spanish colonial finca. And with the Cali River flowing alongside, where better to enjoy perfectly made champus (a corn-based fruit drink), decadent marranitas (pork scratchings packed in a ball of plantain) and Empanadas Vallunas (locally-made meat pies).
