Ristorante Puny

Piazza Martiri dell'Olivetta 5 Cuisines: Seafood

About

The gregarious owners make this the only restaurant in Portofino that treats you as more than just waddling bags of money. Right on the piazzetta, its tables enjoy views of the boats bobbing in the harbor and yachts having size contests beyond. Definitely book ahead to drink in those views and dig into risotto al curry e gamberi (curried rice embedded with tiny shrimp); penne al puny (pasta quills in a sauce of tomatoes, pancetta bacon, and mushrooms); fresh fish al verde (in a green sauce of parsley, lemon, and white wine) or al sale (baked under a thick salt crust); or carne all'uccelleto (diced veal sautéed in butter then cooked in white wine with bay leaves).
