About

Roberta Sudbrack was recently named the best contemporary restaurant in Rio by local foodie bible Veja Rio Comer e Beber, and it's difficult to argue with the judges. The restaurant is located in an airy, two-story house and is known as one of Rio's finest restaurants. Native Brazilian ingredients are used to great effect, and the chef, Ms Sudbrack herself, has impressed the palates of distinguished diners including former Italian president Carlo Ciampi and Fidel Castro. Ciampi raved about the sun-dried beef risotto, while Castro requested the menu for the dish of brie au gratin with raspberry vinaigrette.
