About

Rockefeller Chapel is, by order, the tallest building on the campus of the University of Chicago in Chicago, Illinois. It was meant by patron John D. Rockefeller to be the "central and dominant feature" of the campus. At 200.7 feet[1] it remains the tallest and most monumentally imposing building on campus, sitting across the street diagonally from what is possibly the flatest and most horizontally-sited permanent structure on campus at 66.5 feet, Frank Lloyd Wright's Prairie style Robie House.[2]
