The Rose Garden is in the harbour of Siófok. You can see rose-bushes, shade is given by the gigantic might plane-trees, the humidity of lake Balaton creates some kind of paradise atmosphere. The cross-Balaton-swimming is an event (between Révfülöp and Balatonboglár), which attracts a lot of people. Ambitious people can try their strength in swimming from the North to the South shore every year. The city put up a statue of Kálmán Szekrényessy here who is the first man who swam cross the lake. Besides this in the park there are some interesting statues: the statue of Tibor Vilt Mermaid of Lake Balaton (1974), József Somogyi Fishermen(1998), Tamás Varga Frigyes Karinthy.
